1   Fourier Vector Tracing

The Fourier transform decomposes an arbitrary function to a series of sinusoidal ones. It’s a special case of the Fourier series as period $T\to\infty$ in \begin{equation} f(t)=\sum_{n=-\infty}^\infty A_ne^{2i\pi nt/T} \label{eq:fourier_series} \end{equation} where \begin{equation} A_n=\frac{1}{T}\int_0^T f(t)e^{-2i\pi nt/T}\,dt. \label{eq:A_n} \end{equation}

This animation shows how a decomposed series of circles and arms can regenerate its original vector image. NMSU_NoU-Crimson.gif
